What we do
NAFICOT purchases fish from local fishers, processes and adds value to seafood products, and supplies fresh, frozen, smoked and other seafood to customers throughout Tuvalu. We support sustainable fisheries, strengthen food security, create market opportunities for fishers, and work with government and development partners to build a resilient and commercially successful fisheries sector.
-
NAFICOT works closely with the Government of Tuvalu, local fishers, Community Fishing Centres, development partners and the private sector to strengthen fisheries, improve food security and support sustainable economic development. Through these partnerships, NAFICOT seeks to build resilient fisheries infrastructure, improve market access, strengthen organisational capability and ensure that investments deliver long-term benefits for the people of Tuvalu.

NAFICOT's greatest asset is its people. Our staff bring local knowledge, practical skills and a strong commitment to serving the people of Tuvalu. We are committed to investing in their development through training, mentoring and safe, supportive workplaces that build capability, strengthen leadership and enable NAFICOT to deliver high-quality services to fishers, customers and the wider community.
