GOVERNANCE

NAFICOT is governed under the provisions of the National Fishing Corporation of Tuvalu Act, which establishes the organisation as a state-owned enterprise operating on behalf of the people of Tuvalu.

 Ownership is exercised through the Government of Tuvalu, with oversight provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Ministry of Finance and a Board of Directors appointed in accordance with the Act.

NAFICOT maintains strong financial management systems and internal controls while fostering a culture of continual improvement to ensure it delivers sustainable commercial, social and environmental outcomes for the people of Tuvalu.

NAFICOT BOARD

The NAFICOT Board provides strategic direction, ensures sound governance, oversees organisational performance and safeguards the corporation's long-term sustainability.

Directors operate under a formal Code of Conduct that promotes integrity, accountability, transparency and responsible decision-making.

The Board meets at least quarterly to review performance, financial results and strategic priorities, supported by regular financial reporting and independent audits.
